This March 25th is the 76th anniversary of the publication of The Hobbit.  The Tolkien Society invites everyone to discover and enjoy the books written by J.R.R. Tolkien!  If you've seen the movie, you've only experienced a third of the book.

Questia, an online source for electronic books, put together a list of its 10 most widely-read African American writers.  At the top of the list are Langston Hughes, Richard Wright, and Toni Morrison.

In January, make a point of creating a list of books you want to read, then reserving them with your local public library.  With your library card, you can reserve books online and renew them.  Also, if you have a portable device, you can borrow from their digital library.
